4. Biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch:

This procedure involves removing a large portion of the stomach and connecting the remaining part of the stomach to the end of the small intestine. In Kenya, the procedure costs $6,500, Ksh 780,000 or if done in the USA, it costs between $20.000 and $25,000.

 

5. Intragastric balloon:

This procedure involves placing a temporary balloon in the stomach to limit the amount of food it can hold.

 

6. Endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty:

This procedure involves using a suturing device inserted through the mouth to reduce the size of the stomach. The price of endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty costs Ksh 780,000 -850,000 in Kenya. But if done in the USA, it costs $9,000 to $11,000
