It was a sad morning for the Kenya creatives and comedian family following the passing on of Popular comedian Charles Bukeko alias Papa Shirandula died Covid-19, the family has confirmed. Ronald Wanyama, Shirandula’s brother-in-law, said that Papa was experiencing difficulties in breathing and was rushed to the Karen Hospital.
In his statement, the brother said that “It is said that he didn’t make it out of the hospital alive as we had hoped. He had tested positive for Covid-19.
Sources at the Royal Media Services (RMS) officers have also confirmed to Nairobi News that more staff have tested positive after mass testing was conducted.
Citizen TV’s Steve Letoo on Friday confirmed that he has tested positive to the Covid-19 virus.
Papa Shirandula died on the day Kenya recorded its highest number of Covid-19 infections after 688 people tested positive for the disease in the last 24 hours.
