Calendar of KMTC College Intake and Training Activities. In this article, you will find and interact with a full-time timetable for 2020 onwards, KMTC intakes and admissions for government-sponsored (regular) and Self-sponsored (private) students.

KMTC Self-Sponsored Students application and admission in 2019

Application for Self Sponsored Students and Parallel will begin on the 1st week of July 2020

Selection will take place in the 3rd week of July 2020

Reporting day will be in the second week of September 2020

KMTC regular Students application and admission in 2019

Application will begin on March 2020 and Close on Mid April 2020

Selection of Students will begin on the first week of June 2020

Reporting day will be in the second week of September 2020

2019 KMTC In-service Admissions  (up-grading and Post-basic)

Application will begin Mid November 2020 and end on Mid-January 2020

Selection will begin on end of February and finish on Mid-March 2020

Reporting will be in the 1st week of September 2020

KMTC Semester Calendar system

KMTC has two semesters with a short break in December (two weeks) and a long break in August (1 month).

  • 1st Semester begins on 1st September and ends on the Beginning of February.     
  • 2nd Semester begins on the beginning of March and finishes end of July

KMTC Term System

KMTC has 3 terms in a year of 16 weeks each.  There are 2breaks; short one in December (two weeks) and a long one in August (four weeks).

  • 1st term begins on 1st week of September  and ends on 3rd week of December      
  • 2nd term  begins on 2nd week January and ends on 2nd week of April              
  • 3rd term  begins on 3rd week  and finishes on End of July 2020

KMTC Intake – Kenya Medical Training College Intake and Admissions

Selection and placement of government sponsored (regular) programs to Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) is done by KMTC.

Once the application process has been closed, the successful applicants will receive communication in due time.

Admission into the self-sponsored category, whose intake will be March every year, will commence after completion of government-sponsored intake in September. An advertisement will be placed in the local dailies in October. Admission to the self-sponsored vacancies will be open to all qualified students, regardless of the year they sat for their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

Candidates are advised to attach legible Photostat copies of academic certificates; school leaving certificate and national identity card/birth certificate.

In-Service Courses: Advertisement (i) 15th November 15th January  
Selection End of February 15th March.  
Pre-Service Courses: Advertisement:(Regular category) Between 1st March 15th April  
Selection First week of June    
Advertisement for Self Sponsored Students and Parallel 1st week of July    
Selection 3rd week of July  
2. Reporting Dates:

 

 

In-service (up-grading and Post-basic) 1st week of September    
Pre-service (Regular, Self Sponsored Students and Parallel) 2nd week of September.    
3. Starting of Academic Year
Academic year begins 1st week of September

 

 

   
4. Beginning and end of Semesters/Terms:

5. (a) (i) Final Qualifying Examinations – Period (September classes)
Examinations to be conducted and marked

 

 

2nd week of June end of July *March class of Nursing Final Qualifying Examinations can be conducted and marked during this period also

 

 

Examinations Results Declaration

(ii)Supplementary Examinations
Those referred for 3 months Last week of November 1st week of December Results will be declared in the 2nd week of December.

 

September class of Nursing Final Qualifying Examinations can be conducted and marked also during this period.

 

Those referred for 6 months Last week of February 1st week of March Results will be declared in the 2nd week of March
(b) Final Qualifying Examinations – Period (March classes)
Examinations will be conducted and marked Beginning of March End of March This will include Post-basic courses taking 18 months.

 

 

Declaration of results 1st week of April.    
Supplementary examinations for those referred for 3 months     Will be done together with the Final Qualifying Examinations of September class.
6. Block Timetables For Other Activities:
Sports 3rd week of October End of November  
Community Service 2nd Saturday of May    
College Graduation 1st Thursday of December
