Cicely McDonell College of Health Science

Cicely McDonell nursing college is also known as Nairobi hospital school of Nursing because it's the flagship nursing college under the administration of Nairobi Hospital. It was established in 1956 and offers one of the best nursing courses in Nairobi. It's a privately owned college and its students majorly get practical experience in the hospital wards, departments, and laboratories. It offers several specialty courses in nursing including the higher diploma in Critical care nursing, Nephrology Nursing, Neonatal Nursing, and Accident and Emergency Nursing.

Catherine McAuley Nursing School

Catherine McAuley Nursing School also known as Mater Hospital Nursing School is located in the heart of Nairobi, in the South B area. It's a private nursing college that started as a midwifery training but currently has several courses ranging from Kenya-registered Peri-operative Nursing, critical-care nursing, and Kenya Registered Midwifery. The college is licensed and accredited by the Technical & Vocational Education & Training Authority (TVETA) and the nursing council of Kenya.

Nazareth Medical College

This is a private-based nursing college offering courses such as diploma in nursing, social work, theatre technicians, community health nursing, and bridging courses. They are slightly affordable and their classes do not have many students like the other colleges. The nursing students get ample time with their lecturers and hands-on experience in the Nazareth hospital. KRCHN (DIPLOMA IN NURSING) takes 3 years and they have 2 intakes, one in March & September.

Kenyatta National Hospital Nursing School

It's a nursing school established in 1966 by Kenyatta Hospital for specialized Critical Care Unit, Theatre, Renal, A&E, and Newborn Unit. However, the other general wards and departments have benefitted from the establishment and currently, they are training nurses with a wide hands-on experience owing to the busy hospital ward experiences. Kenyatta school of Nursing offers several courses including Post Basic Specialized Nursing courses and other short courses for healthcare workers. This is a privately-owned nursing college in the heart of Karen, Nairobi. Its owned and operated and the leadership of Karen Hospital. The Karen Nursing or medical training college offers several courses including Kenya Registered Nursing Diploma which takes 3 years and Diploma in Peri-operative Technology. They have accreditation by TVET, the Nursing Council of Kenya, Clinical Officers Council.

Daystar University has a newly established school of nursing in 2020 and boasts of enrolling students to pursue a bachelor of science in nursing, medical surgical nursing, midwifery, reproductive health nursing, community health nursing, and Nursing Education, Administration, and Research. Studying Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at Daystar University will cost about Ksh 145,800 per year.

This is one of the oldest and most renowned public universities in Kenya. It offers several nursing courses such as Bsc Nursing, Ph.D. nursing, diploma in renal nursing, MSC nursing, and Doctor of Philosophy Nursing. The School is the most sought-after in Kenya and has been rated as one of the top schools in the region.

This is another privately-owned medical and health training college located within Nairobi metropolitan. It's a privately-owned by the Aga Khan Foundation and a non-denominational nursing school under Aga Khan University. Students can study Bachelor of Science Nursing, Midwifery, Oncology nursing, and advanced practice nursing.
